The desktop app runs the exocortex node on your computer: it keeps your stream there and reads the helmet over USB. Linux: make the AppImage executable and run it, or install the .deb. Windows: the installer is not signed yet, so SmartScreen warns; choose More info, then Run anyway. macOS comes once the app is signed. To check a file, compare sha256sum of it with the SHA-256 here. With the node running, you can also use the app in your browser at app-dev.my-exocortex.com; your data stays on your computer.

The app

The exocortex app runs on your computer and phone. It signs in here with a code, to show your helmet and your orders. Your recordings (EEG, camera, microphone) stay on your devices: the account holds none of them, and cloud sync is off unless you turn it on in the app.

Download everything the account holds: your email, name, passkeys' public keys, sign-ins, devices and orders.
